PbK Studios | Alabama Wedding Photographers - Brides and Grooms of 2015
It's hard to believe that 2015 is gone, and that we are a few days into the new year. Lindsi & I will be reopening the studio for the year in 2 days --- and in that time, we have to prepare for 12 sessions over 2 days time, including 2 new little ones that will be joining our studio family for this year!!
While we spend most of the week shooting newborns, babies, and families, we spend several weekends shooting weddings! This year we took a huge leap of faith and added two more wedding photographers to our team, and have been completely amazed at the results, and how well we were all able to collaborate! We were blessed enough to work multiple weddings on the same day, and work with photographers from other areas to help me get everything that I needed! We wouldn't be where we are without the amazing brides and grooms that we are so fortunate to work with. Somehow God places us with people who inspire us with their love and support for one another, their passion for life and ability to have a good time make working with them that much more amazing. This year, most of our weddings took place in Florence, Huntsville, and Birmingham, as well as Atlanta, Georgia. We seriously loved every minute, and I cannot even talk about it enough.
I just wanted to tell you all thank you; Thank you for choosing us, being so precious, being patient while we transitioned Lindsi into motherhood and I took on too much, for reminding us throughout the year that love never fails, and for continuing to love us. We loved working with you, and hope to work with you in the future... maybe if you could just have some beautiful babies in the next few years :)))))
2015 was a whirlwind of a year, some days it felt like I was going to spiral out of control.... but we are feeling rejuvenated and are refreshed from our time off --- we are ready to start the new year with a whole new perspective on our business. This year, I am going to push us to be more creative, do the things that we want to do instead of just thinking of them, taking more time to be with our families and allowing others to help us out more, and creating a space that we absolutely love to shoot in. ---- We will be at the Bridal Show in Florence, AL on January 30, 2016 --- stop by and see us, we are currently booking for all of 2016 and would be HONORED to talk with you! PBK STUDIOS | Alabama Photographers | Our Adventures - 2015 In Review
I spoke of some adventures we had, we continued to offer wedding services in Alabama, Tennessee & Georgia - where we got to work with awesome photographers and meet amazing clients and a few famous people!
One of our favorite adventures was visiting Las Vegas for WPPI with our husbands and brother! We drove across 4 different states and had Arby's in an unknown city, visited the Grand Canyon (for 15 minutes because there was a foot of snow on the South Rim!) We saw a show that made us realize how immature we can be (haha) and we saw Cirque Du Soleil's O. It was amazing! We shot out in the desert and completely exhausted ourselves in the meantime.

We also visit Pensacola annually, and this year was ultra special, it was Lindsi's last trip before becoming a MOMMY! So naturally, we had to make the drive out to Fort Pickens, a beautiful beach drive out to a base where Geronimo was held! Here are a couple of my favorites:
And right in the middle of our year.... We became super busy, super behind and in the middle of wedding season, we weren't sure how everything was going to come together, but it all worked out. This little thing graced us with his life:

PbK Studios | Alabama Newborn & Wedding Photographers - 2015 In Review
It's that time of year, when we reflect back on what we have done the past year, how much we have grown creatively & contemplate what we want to do for the next year. This year has brought us new and amazing adventures, allowed us to meet some of the coolest people, and grow as a company --- we welcomed 2 new photographers into our world!! 2015 brought us so much incredible joy, as well as deepening sadness - and that is life. This year we learned more than ever to make the best of every situation, and rejoice in the time that we are here...
On any Given day, someone may ask us, "What is your favorite thing to photograph?" Lindsi (If she heard the question haha!) and I would normally answer in the same tone and speed - "Newborns and Weddings". Most photographers we know absolutely hate to do one or the other, they feel its necessary to offer the service, but don't feel much enjoyment from it. Us, on the other hand.... we happily await our next little cuddle from the newest things on Earth. We love how parents sit back and watch us (or sleep --- whatever they need to do!) while admiring their sweet creation. As of this year, all of our photographers are now MOTHERS! We know all of the feelings you are bottling up and the overwhelming love you are experiencing. There is nothing sweeter! With that being said, I wanted to take a minute to share some of our work from a few newborn sessions this year (literally, just a few because I could share all of our newborns all day):
We are currently booking January 2016 - December 2016 and we would LOVE to welcome you into our studio family. This year, Lindsi and Kayla will be shooting newborn sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays, and certain Fridays.
